TBWA/Chiat/Day Broadway Stool by Gaetano Pesce

Part of Gaetano Pesce’s 1993 Broadway '543' series, this 4 legged stool is cast in translucent blue and red resin, its surface rippling with subtle imperfections from the open-mold process. True to Pesce’s vision, no two works are alike, each form holds its own memory of the pour. The resin seat is supported by stainless steel legs standing on springs. As such, the experience of sitting in this chair is quite unusual. While it sways side to side, it holds your weight confidently. This particular example was used inside of the TBWA/Chiat/Day office designed by Pesce in 1994, a true testament to the design's balance of integrity and build quality with delicate and artful materials.
