Created during her artist residency in a quiet French town, this piece is rooted in a moment of quiet magic and impermanence. Each morning, Quitara would wander the town’s winding paths, sketchbook in hand. One day, she came across a forgotten bench beside a lone streetlamp—possibly an old bus stop—set in an overgrown field. Yellow flowers had overtaken the bench, growing under, around, and through its frame, transforming it into something otherworldly. In the breeze, the blooms seemed to sway like dancers, as if the bench itself were alive.

She returned to the bench often, sketching, dreaming, waiting. It felt like a threshold—an invisible station for a train to someplace unseen, or a quiet meeting place for souls in transit. Then one day, the flowers were gone. Cut back. The spell lifted. But the memory of the moment—and the comfort of knowing it would return—endures.
