Come Stai? Aqua & Yellow Chair by Gaetano Pesce for Bottega Veneta

In 2022, Bottega Veneta invited Gaetano Pesce to turn their Milan Fashion Week runway into an artwork—and he responded with 400 Come Stai? chairs and a custom resin-poured floor.

Each one was cast in resin, hand-painted, and entirely unique. The idea was to celebrate individuality and diversity: no two chairs the same, just as no two people are.

Come Stai? means ‘How are you?’ in Italian— a gentle reminder from Pesce to pause and connect—because design can be more than functional; it can be a conversation.
