'543 Broadway' Dining Table by Gaetano Pesce

Regular price Pre-Order | $0.00

A seminal work from Gaetano Pesce's celebrated Broadway series, the 543 Broadway Table embodies the designer's lifelong rejection of standardization in favor of individuality, imperfection, and emotional expression. Originally conceived in 1993 and recently reissued in a limited edition of just 33 examples, the table represents one of Pesce's most experimental explorations of material and form.

Handcrafted in Italy, the piece combines a slender steel structure with a vibrant cast epoxy resin top. The resin's colors intermingle organically during production, creating spontaneous compositions that ensure no two tables are ever identical. This process, central to Pesce's philosophy, transforms each work into a unique object positioned between functional furniture and collectible art.

Elevated by its distinctive multi-legged frame and luminous transparency, the Broadway Table challenges conventional notions of domestic furniture. The visible structure beneath the resin surface celebrates construction rather than concealing it, while the fluid coloration captures the unpredictability and individuality that define Pesce's oeuvre.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in postmodern and radical Italian design, Gaetano Pesce created works that blurred the boundaries between architecture, art, and industrial production. The Broadway series remains a powerful example of his vision: objects imbued with personality, variation, and human character.
